Success Stories

Ryan, January 2021

Working with Marvin Nixon has truly been transformational for me. When I hired Marv it wasn't to lose weight or to "be fit". I hired him because I wanted to be in the best shape of my life when I turn 50 next year. Not in appearance necessarily, but in my best "health."

I have been weight training since I was 13, so I've had an interest in being healthy for a very long time. As you can imagine I've tried lots of things and been given all kinds of advice.

It wasn't until I started working with Marv that I truly approached my health differently. The first area we discussed was inflammation. I've had tons of joint issues and was looking for some relief. As a result we changed many elements of my nutrition as well as my exercising routines over time. The biggest difference I noticed with Marv was, whether we were adding something or removing something, we did it with one element at a time and assessed the effectiveness. That way we knew what was working and what wasn't.

Coaching with Marv has changed my health and mindset to the point that I am now pursuing a Precision Nutrition PN Level 1 Coaching Certificate myself. He has helped me so much I want to put myself in a place to help others and pay it forward.

I'm truly grateful to have coached with Marv and plan to continue to in the future. Thanks, Marv for being my coach first and now my friend.

Marvin is all the things you would want a coach to be: knowledgeable, inspiring, motivating, understanding, and patient.  He worked with my physical limitations and pushed me hard when I needed it. Marv’s holistic approach to nutrition, sleep, mindset, and physical health was exactly what I needed, and I can proudly say that I’m the healthiest and most in-shape of my life. I could not recommend him enough!

I have worked with Marvin for over 5 years.  He is knowledgeable about all things fitness, stress and nutrition.  He motivates in a way that suits my personality - someone who spends most of my time in meetings or on a plane.  After having back surgery a few years ago - Marvin coached me back into shape.  He spent time working on my core and taught me functional exercises that I can do at home.  Marvin is someone I trust to coach me as he is very professional and caring which makes him one of the best out there.

Marvin is a lot more than a coach or a trainer. For the last 4 years, he managed to keep me motivated and accountable while adapting to my ever changing schedule. In addition to crafting challenging training programs which set ambitious, but realistic goals, Marvin goes above and beyond with a strong focus on day-to-day life via key improvements and recommendations on topics like sleeping and eating habits, posture, and stress management. Overall, Marvin helped me have a more positive approach to health, and fitness, while pushing me to consistently aim higher. Marvin is fun, approachable, driven, professional and, for me, the gold standard in the industry.

People that know me know that I love working out hard five or six days a week, it's something that I feel keeps me healthy. Here’s the deal, I was healthy yet wasn’t as healthy as I could have been. I have turned my eyes and my focus towards eating better and hydrating better to support the hard workouts. I have been working with Marv and he knew how to lead me in the right direction.
